My website is brand new, having gone LIVE on February 7, 2016.
I've been working on it since last May though and because I don't really come from the computer generation, it has been a great learning experience. And Fun !
I thought I might use this thing called blogging to explain a thing or two about my work. So, I'll start with my signature. You may notice that it appears in various forms such as Heather McFarlane, Heather, H.McF. , and sometimes you may wonder where it is. Oil Pastels work well with long curving lines, but not so well when it comes to the tight curves necessary to write one's signature. So my husband came up with a LOGO which you see at the bottom of this page and which I began using as my signature. It has the benefit of straight lines which are easily made with oil pastels. It also has the benefit of incorporating my initials H and M with the W of my married name.
As time has progressed, I have enjoyed becoming more inventive with where in the painting I place my logo, and how it fits in color-wise. Have a look at "Romeo and Juliette" and also "White Vase, Tulips and Rabbits", where you may have to search a bit to find the logo.
Thank you for having a look at my work. I enjoy very much doing these paintings, and I hope you find them interesting.
